I also stated earlier I didn't think volk or rotas were the shizznet...I'm a fan of iForged and HRE myself.

I don't go around say my shine amuse bumper is authentic either

You want the real ****, talk to someone else.

IMO he wouldn't be here without the budget ballers, aka, $30,000 millionaires, aka teens who spend 90% of their income on a car and have VERY limited funds to spend on mods.

Naive?

Common man what are the odds of the "circumstances" you have proposed here?

A 10-1 ratio (if not more) on 'bashing rota' to 'pro-rota' in here, and 1000-1 ratio threads about the same...im sure no human on planet earth is in any danger of making such an assumption after falling victim to your proposed circumstances.

...But sure....anythings possible.

And yes, agreed this thread needs /. OP has no fukin clue what he got into, so its best we dont entertain his ignorance on this subject.

Exactly, all these people say Rotas are nice like they are an original design when they are the exact knock off of the high quality wheel they would never pay for. They even knock off the colors they come in and call it something else. IMO anyone who buys Rotas loves Volks or Works and just can't afford them.

The real reason for replacing them.. they were bent.. (I made that perfectly clear in my post above)

this thread is about volk wheels and you come out of nowhere and post "blah blah blah check how how i bent volks and replaced them with rotas that look just the same and are just as good! dont believe me? look at my pics! come buy rotas, they come in lots of colors and fitments. hawtness! read this ghey quote i got!"

like i said, pathetic.
  • did your post read like a feeble advertisement for rotas? yes.
  • do you make money selling rotas? yes.
  • would you have posted all that if you didnt work for wheeldude? no.

your reply in this thread is fail. if you want to go advertise your wheels, start a new thread in the vendor section. stop trying to indoctrinate us with your rota propaganda.

mods can we lock this thread? its all going down the crapper from here.

All of the pictures have one thing in common. Can anyone make the connection?

I, myself, do NOT like Rota as a company because of their blatent copies of higher end wheels and the fact they dont have 1 original design, nor try to change the copies even in the least bit.

I for one have had a couple arguments on this matter with Dan, but the fact remains, he is a great guy and means well.

I seriously doubt he was trying to advertise, he is just offering his .02 like all of us. Just because he sells the wheels shouldnt exclude him from an opinion.

Its not like even if he was trying to advertise, none of us had the smarts to see through it... common.

EDIT: By the way, that white R34 pictured above is fukin' sickness...
Since character attributes have been presented... do you believe that someone is considered to have "honest" character if they use or have used shill accounts to talk smack about their competitors especially in a business setting?

The thread title is "Am I the only one who doesn't get a hardon for Volk's?". You and many other members are allowed to voice their opinions in my threads but I'm not allowed to share my own personal opinion? That seems a little backwards to me

It's funny how fast you will twist words and play your side to get your point across. I didn't "come out of nowhere" as you describe.. In the future I'll be sure to quote posts to avoid any confusion Here is the post I would have quoted (even though the word "Rota" was brought up many times before this).
https://my350z.com/forum/7859368-post95.html

If you go through this thread you will see many other brands mentioned (Work, SSR, Axis, Enkei, etc..) yet you choose not to attack the other members who listed these brands You will also see a Mackin Industries employee (tHisZ_bFAST) posting countless images as "advertisement" and also mentioning the RAYS "G-Games & Gramlights" line up for those not wanting to spend as much on forged wheels... So let me ask you this, do you have a hidden agenda here?

Rick, I am posting a personal opinion and or review. As seen in this thread, if I post on our vendor account it is considered "Advertising". If I post on a personal account it is considered a "shill account". I have never talked "smack" about another product as you describe (Go ahead, go dig up the 2-3 posts where it was very clear I was using sarcasm), I have only shared my personal experience.

Dan,

If you are inferring once again that me and volk350z are one in the same, you are sadly wrong. You can have moderators check the ip addresses and they will not match, unlike the fail you committed referenced below lol. I just call things like it is and the many people that know Brian (Volk350z) and I in person know that our writing styles reflect our personalities unlike someone. So NO, I am not talking for Brian as you are assuming. I was just pointing out the cheap shot and believe it was a douche move.

After the last chirade where you were caught in your dirty deeds like a Nigerian scam artist, we all let the dust settle and moved on. Of course you being the spineless character you are, you had to come in here taking a cheap shot. Truly comical yet not surprising coming from a coward. Since you are bringing up references and rehashing, I would like to provide my reference to my take on your credibility so that the new members have a fair shake:

no offense, but the amount of times I have heard about a damaged volk, compared to the personal knowledge of rota wheel failures, the most recent a P45R after less than a year (the barrel cracked). let's not get into that losing battle. lol

Did I ever said I don't work at Mackin? At least I don't use a different user name to bump my own thread, as you so put it "talk smack about their competitors". hahaha

btw Mackin also Import other wheels - Gramlight, G-Games and Yokohama (Advan) wheels but you should know that already...
