If you are trying to buy wheels based on what tires you already have on your stock wheels, you are doing it wrong.

Help? Look on the Private Classifieds for stuff in your price range and if you like it, buy it.

I assume the tires you have now are the stock sizes: (225/45-18” F and 245/45-18” R)

If that’s the case, consider buying after market wheels that are 18x8.5” front and 18/9.5” rear. A safe wheel offset is 22 to 24mm (that fits and no need to roll your fenders).

Your stock sized tires will be slightly stretched on these wheels, but the tires fit within manufacturer’s specs.

When replacing your current tires, you will go wider with the new tires: (245/40-18” front and 275/40-18” rear)

Hope this helps,

--Spike

OP: Your wheels look fine. You don't NEED new ones. Since you don't want to spend the money to buy new tires because they're still good, then wait till they wear out and then it will give you a better excuse to buy NEW wheels at the same time. By that time, you will have saved enough for a wheel/tire package. What you're trying to accomplish here, is not logical, at all.

You should look for something used or save $$$ and up your budget to at least 2K. Nothing new and/or your tires will suit your budget & needs. Not even Rota's (after you mount & balance and install TPMS) will meet your $1K budget. If that's all you have your better off waiting. PS. You could try eBay or Craigslist...

Go to the classifieds and get a better idea of what you are looking for actually cost being used. Brand name+Lip>$1000. Run your good tires for now and save to get what you want.

I have to agree. I think the OEM wheels are better quality than Rotas.

+1, especially since you say you want something with a big lip in the rear. If a nice set of wheels AND new tires are out of your price range, I'd say just stick with the stocks. Stock wheels always look much better than some ugly wheels with bad offsets.
