Default Help with RPF1

Just ordered a set of rpf1s in 18x9.5 +15 and 18x10,5 +15. I'm shopping for tires and have searched and can't seem to get a straight answer. I bought the wheels so I can run drag radials all the time. I woould like to run the nitto 555r 305-35-18 as it looks to be the correct height and maybe a 265-35 or 275-35 nitto 555 up front. My car is lowered with nismo suspension and the rear fenders are rolled. It has ben my experience in the past that the nitto drag radials run a little on the narrow side. I do see alot of people running the 285-35-18 but it looks to be a little short for the rear. The car will be making well above the 500whp mark so street tires are not really an option any more. Thanks for any input or help.

Will you be drag racing, or just want street grip? If the latter, I highly suggest you look at the Toyo R888 tires as well, likely in 295/30. I am very impressed with their grip on the street in my high HP 300ZX TT. This wasn't meant to be a lousy sales pitch, but I can get you lightly used R888s in various sizes for you to try. I switched to them from the BFG DR that I didn't like since it had so much sidewall compliance (295/35/18). It made for very uneasy high-speed stability once you turned the wheel even a small amount.

These will be for street grip. I have a set of 15inch et streets for the track. I would just like the use of second gear on the street.

R888s, and never look back. The boost in my car hits hard, and the car goes straight and grip is awesome. It was the best change I've made on the car in a long time.

I would look into wheels with less offset , +30 to +25 range so you can run wide tires.

There was a guy selling a set with 295-35 bfg's on the rear and he said they fit with rolled fenders. I have 275 35 19's on Volk gts +17 with plenty of room to spare. I hope I dont run into fitment issues.

With a 305 DR on a 18x10.5 +15, you can expect it. No point in running a wide tire if you have to camber the crap out of it to make it fit. The 295/30/18 R888 is quite wide, and very sticky for street grip, but the 305 is WAY wider - I've tried.

Do they make it in a 295/35/18 ? the 30 series seems like it will be to short.
