Is that your experience?
I haven't tried the RE960's, but I've been happy with the Goodyear's. They are rated well, and have a 400 wear rating. I've driven them through cold temperatures, and through rain, and they have great traction for an all season tire.

For the money they can't be beat. If you buy something like the Michelin's I think you'd be wasting your money.

Did you find them quiet/comfortable for a ride too? I am really really sick of the noise from the tires (the RE050 and teh Sportmaxx of course) and stiff ride in the Z I have currently.

So noise/ride is important to me as is obvious by my asking about that over and over, lol.

If the Conti DWS are cheaper, then I say try them. They will be quiter, and better in wet, and snowy conditions.

I just finished reading some of the newest reviews.......

I wouldn't say as quiet as summer tires are made to be... I believe the tread design deciphers you're sound quality, but it's not to say they sound like mudders LOL... I kind of can hear them, but then again, I do blast my music pretty loud LOL... but when I don't, its not really a bother. Comfort wise, I say they are comfortable for their price, IMO...

Wear wise, they are pretty good on wear, I've had them for 20k miles now... and got about 65-70%... again, I live in LA, where it is mostly hotter temperatures than it is in Canada, so I would think tread might last longer in your region than in mine.

I was actually on Bridge. RE040's before this set... you really can't compare a summer and a all season tire, two different areas...

Sssshhhhhhhh..... Im thinking of offering a free round trip to sunny San Diego to ZHottie fully paid for by yours truely. I have to convince her that Conti's are the way to go. Perhaps I could let her test drive the Z if she comes down to feel the Contact Sports for herself. Ummmm Hmmmmm....

Ok… I’m going to provide the definitive and absolute answer:
  • If you want the best all-season tire: Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus
  • If you cannot afford the best, but want very good: Bridgestone RE960AS
  • If you are willing to experiment: Continental DWS

About the video:

ZRated67 insisted filming this. And, he absolutely assured me that it would never be made public.

Yah… right… now it’s all over the Internet. ZRated67 is on the left (wearing makeup and the wig). He looks good, and I look very bad. WT_? …This was never my intention.

Wait a minute… I’m just receiving email from Rielle Hunter… OK, got the message… She tells me this video is crap and is worthless because it only has a “head shot” and lacks full body exposure. She also says I should claim it was stolen to defeat anyone who attempts selling the video. OK… I get this.

Hold on… Just now received a message from Andrew Young… He warns that ZRated67 will claim he found the video in a hat box (or maybe the wig box). With that discovery, the claim is “finders- keepers.”

Something odd… No word from John Edwards. I’ll email him asking for advice here.

Couldn’t resist posting this…
