Default spacer and tires.

I came up with some questions about spacer and tires. i saw some thread of drifting wheels and a lot of ppls mentioned that most of drifters put wheel spacers when drifting.. what do spacers actually do to make them drift better? Will i have to roll up the fender if i go with 25/30mm combo for 07 350z?
i also heard that wide rear tires aren't good for drifting... i never get why.. plz explain it to me

PPl say that OEM rims have the worst(?) offset. what's the best offset for drifting, then??

sorry for your inconvenience.. thx

lol... wow you need help. spacers do not do much in terms of performance. it's 99% because cars look more aggressive with the wheels sticker out closer to the fender. you'll have to roll your fenders depending on how low you slam your car. do some research before you post silly threads like this. the only reason "wide tires" wouldn't be good for drifting is because drifting requires getting the back end loose and if there's too much traction, you won't be able to do it as easily. it's common sense...

What size wheel do you have and what is the offset? Can't help without that info and the tire size.

This thread does not deliver.

You don't need spacers for drifting. That is ridiculous. You need spacers to make it look like you're a drifter.

Got it? Good.

I am an avid drifter...........

the only reason i use spacers when drifting is because I own 18 wheels for my car!

as a budget drifter, i tend to buy wheels at deals when i can! doing so means i have also acquired spacers on CList, forums, etc and I now currently own a set of 15mm, 20mm and 25mm spacers!

Yup, i have 3 sets of spacers....but then again, i own 18 wheels....so they come in handy.

You dont need spacers if your adding tie rods...that doesn't matter...

There is a whole sub-forum just for motorsports.

All the info you need can be found there.

No, to fit for that "drifting look". You don't need spacers unless the wheels are the wrong offset and hit the suspension or calipers OR if they are sunken in (but fit) and you want them to be "pushed out" more.

right!

I use them only cuase i bought 6 wheels off a buddy for 200 bucks! I didnt let sad offset keep me from picking up decent spare drifting wheels.....

thats all.......its not "needed" or does not help "performance" when drifting any much more than making it all look right, getting the stance right is about it.....

no one's telling me the number of "good" offesets. Is the offset fine as long as the rim clears the caliper? that's it? if so, then i don't get why OEM rims have bad offset..they clear calipers..maybe not BBks.
