Its going to look like a 245 mm tire on a 10.5 inch wheel. Its your car. You decide if it looks good.

Im running-

Front Rim-18x9+22 Tire-225/45/18(oem tire)

Rear Rim -18x9+22 Tire -245/45/18 (oem tire)

Theyre stretched. They look great. The ride is a bit rough. Im pretty happy with them, but when i get new tires im going for a meaty look.

Contradictory terms. Can't have both.

I've run 18x10.5 +15's with 285's on stock (rolled rear) fenders. Even the 285's are lightly stretched.

A friend of mine has RPF01's 18" 10.5 wide in back with 265's....not sure of offset but it looks perfect....mild mild stretch but still good sidewall. not sure what sidewall measurement he has but I would go lower than 265...personally I would go 275 but not sure if you'd need a roll

If they are 10.5s then they are +15. That's a great offset for a nice size tire, though not too big; the +18 that the OP refers to is even better. I like to run 285s on four 10.5 +15s myself.

it will all be relative to the specific tire choice you make - they all can have different physical dimensions. As a general rule of thumb, all seasons run narrower than summer only tires, R compounds run wider than summer only, though there can be exceptions I'm sure (have not studied every tire).

this is a 265/35 on a 10.5 inch wheel - no stretch whatsover (these are Toyo R888's which are an R compound which are designed as either very grippy street tires and for track use (pics are too big to post directly). This is a customer car with shots taken a few years ago when he first got it, but gives you an idea of what I mean:

all depends on the overall look you're going for, and if handling is a concern, the other suspension related mods you have to dial it all in. If it's mainly for the looks side of things, it becomes less important

Default quick tire size question

going to possibly be switching to a 18x10 +25 square setup. would 265/40/18 & 285/35/18 be ideal for the flush, tire to wheel, look?

Merged with existing threads and created a new thread for square setup questions

Default Lose the stagger ??

Having a little buyers remorse. Needed new tires for my 05' Z and decided to get new wheels also. The tire guy at discount insisted I go with 245/45/R17's to properly fit the Konig's I wanted. So 245/45/R17's all around so I can rotate them and get even wear. He had me convinced I would get even better traction and life outa my tires with such a set up due to the wider tires. I went ahead and purchased the set but haven't installed yet. Has anyone done this ?? Will it affect my handling adversely?

you can just disable the stability/traction control. i prefer the handling of a square setup i run 285/30/18 all four corners and love it. it will reduce under steer and promote over steer though since your keeping the same potential traction in the rear but increasing the front. you will get more life on the set since you can switch back and forth but the actual wear is going to depend on the tread wear of the tire.
