My TE37SLs 10.5 are on back order for '8-12 weeks.' I might as well try to solve the center cap problem now..
No need for centercaps on a race wheel. No need for these wheels unless your putting them on the track.

Hey kcalvano, do you track your wheels? because if not...there's no need for them. Terrasmak said so....

if you don't track your wheels, you might as well sell them.

that's sort of like saying no need for aftermarket wheels because you're just driving down the street. No?

regardless of what something may or may not be designed for it's uses are rarely limited to what's it's intentions of design are. Volk only offers the Pressed Graphite finish in the Super Laps so it would be impossible to get this wheel in a standard TE37 & it will most likely always be this way. Quite frankly most people actually buy a wheel not only because they like the wheel, how it looks, but because it has a finish or color they also like or love. Despite the lack of center caps I decided to get the SL's because it had the exquisite finish I was looking for in my wheel amongst other things. I sacrificed and got over the fact these wheels would come w/o and that they will look every bit as good, perhaps better than any other Volk TE37 finish out there.

What's the deal with this comment:

I tried PM'ing terrasmak but he gave no reply. I track (drifting) wheels without the center caps and never thought twice about it... is that to say that I will damage my wheels?

Sorry, never got a PM from you.

Actually i was going off what the Volk Nuthuggers usually say. You need Volk for the track etc etc bla bla bla. But yes these wheels are made for track use, why waste them by only running them on the street, a simple cast wheel is capable of that.

I actually run cast wheels on the track (against nuthugger recomendations)

modding is simply the personal balance of need vs want - like any other hobby we induldge in. None of us "need" any of the stuff we get....we want it
