Default Rear 245/45/18 to 245/40/18 Stock 06 rims

Rear tires look like slick tires, found some used tires but they are 245/40/18. Straight?

hmmm guess i'll be losing about 11.1% of sidewall...probably going to make the rear look real funny...

Your speedo will be off slightly since your sidewall is now smaller. Thats probly the worst thing.

Edit: Ya it will probably be visibly thinner.

Get 265 40's or stock. The 265's will be a stretch on an 8.5" wheel, but only 1/4 inch shorter.

You're right. I was looking at the wrong numbers on the calculator.

Call them "racing slicks" and sell them in the marketplace.

Just buy new tires, 245/45-18's arn't that expensive. Then the 245/40-18 will work great up front.
