Default damaged rim help please

not looking for any rude remarks but help. i have a volks sf winning rear rim. the rim is pretty banged up as it was involved in an accident. ive been looking around for places that may be able to fix it and so far i have been turned down. if you have had close to the same damage and had it fixed please PM me or w.e. and let me know. these rims run very high in price and you can see why id rather get it fixed than buy a new one. but if worst comes to worst i will just have to order one and wait 3 months-_-

Dude - there's a reason they've turned you down. Admittedly, your pics aren't clear and close enough to tell for sure, but that looks way beyond repairable. If there are cracks in the metal, nobody is going to want to touch it for fear of liability later. I can't imagine that being road-worthy if repaired.

i hear you out 100% right now the only thing keeping my hopes up is that there is no crack on any part of the rim. i can see your point though. spend about 600 dollars and have a clear mind that i am not going to have problems with the new rims. thanks a lot for the advice man, really appreciate it.

It has cost me $150 to get curb rash fixed. I can only imagine what somebody would charge you to fix that.

If that's a multi-piece wheel, you might be able to get a new barrel then gets the spokes straightened. That might be cheaper than a whole new wheel.

Not sure if you could find a single matching wheel on eBay.

so lost. it is the multi-piece wheel. any idea where i might be able to find a barrel for the spokes? the lip size and offset would have to match to the others. i have 3 rims just waiting to go on. this one is holding me off and i really need to do something about it asap.

You'd have to contact the Volk distributor - Mackin Industries - to find out about replacement parts.

http://www.damagedwheel.com/home.html

But no point in emailing photos...He's gonna say he has to see it in person. But point being, find a good high-end wheel shop in your area and ask.

He charges around 100-300 depending on how bad the damage is.

Do all these wheel shops re-anneal the wheel after they have straightened it, then re-paint them?
