Default White wheels on a blue Z?

I have an '05 dayton blue Z. I want to put rims on it but I don't know what would look the best/still give me good performance. Originally I was thinking black rims but eveyone puts black rims on a blue car I feel its a safe color. That's why I was thinking white but I don't know how that would look I can't find any pics. Also I feel white would get REALLY dirty really fast and I can't say I'm the best at keeping my car clean especially in the winter. It can get pretty harsh up here in NY around February, nobody wants to wash their car in that. So let me know what you guys think of the white or if you have a different color suggestion. Also, if you have a size suggestion too I'll take that. I don't want to destroy my suspension and performance.

I did an image search with white rims on blue car , and the few examples that turned up didn't look that bad.

One possible downside is that brake pad dust will discolor the rims, but that depends on how much the pads shed and how much time and effort you're willing to put into keeping the rims clean.

I've yet to see a set of rims that look nice enough that I'd spend any money to put them in place of the ones that came on my '08.

Stupid question, I know, but did you search the wheel section??? They might have some examples of white on blue, surprising as it may sound, it's been done before...

And watch out for curbs, lol.

If you can think of it, it has been done before. Photos in the blue gallery.

Front wheels white and brake dust will be impossible to keep clean. Many of the photos you see here are garage kept weekend drivers. Some are show cars. For a daily driver I recommend a durable wheel - not a $1,000 show wheel.

Here's my setup = Work emotion XD9 powdercoat white. Pics suck they were taken with a phone. Davidv speaks the truth about brake dust. If i daily drove mine it would drive me crazy. But I constantly keep mine clean since it's easy to clean. Plus we're in the same area OP so i suggest waiting till after winter to get white wheels because brake dust, dirt, salt, and snow will ruin them.

Although i do not like any of those white rims on them blue Z's that would of been my dream theme if my Z was blue.

Get te37 volks in white and call it a day..Mmmmmmmmm!!

my idea would have been blue z with white rims and w/e kit that i had gotten i would did a white lips pin strip around the whole car at the bottom of the kit just to match.

thanks for the pics guys. it sucks that i love that combo so much but my car is a daily driver. it sounds like it would be impossible to keep them clean for me. it sounds like its not even worth it cuz after a while theyre gunna discolor? damn that sucks its so hot. im not a big fan of the gold on blue look. any other color ideas that you think would be better for my situation? and if i do go through with getting something, what size do you guys think is best? i dont want to gain to much height or lose performance.

19's to me are the best size for the Z.

I have 19x9.5 front and 19x10.5 rear. Love em!

^yeah 19's are the best but if you plan on dragging or building a track car then go with 18's. With regards to keeping white wheels clean, as long as they're gloss powdercoated they'll be easy to clean and not using race pads will help reduce brake dust. I've had mine for a yr and half and i'm noticing some discoloring in the fronts so i'm gonna get them refinished and powdercoated next yr.

other colors...I would stay away from red, green, and orange. i've seen them on blue cars and there not the best.
