Default Volk question- good deal or not?

There's a set of 18" GT-7 wheels I can buy, they come mounted with almost new tires for $1300. Back tires are 245/40/18, fronts are 225/40/18.

A couple questions... how would those tires work for an '03 Z and should I jump on this now or do these wheels come up for sale at this price pretty regularly?

I've been doing my homework by searching here on the forum, but I'd appreciate some help as well.

Thanks in advance!

Price seems decent for volks, but are they Bent? Cracked? All depends...

Theres not enough information to answer your question. Offset and wheel width would help.

Your abs/tcs wont like you.

This is such a common question, and even I'm fairly new. Look harder.

Actually they are fine and within spec, just to short for the car.

more important would be the offsets. If they were for a S2000 no.

Actually, they came off an S2000... so they're a pass, then? How come?

I don't have any extra info on them, just wanted to get an idea if the price point was decent. The wheels don't seem to be bent, badly scratched, etc.

And I do appreciate the help... I'm not yet up to speed on what works the best for the 350, getting there though.

Sounds like a deal. If you can inspect the wheels go for it. If you are buying from photos forget it.

if they came off an S2000, i suspect the offsets to be really high...

Offset should be in the low 20s or near to fit properly on the Z, function wise. S2k offset tends to be much higher then that.

You really need to find out all the specs if your even considering buying these, though.

they are not the greatest offsets for the Z. Now do you understand offsets?

That makes sense about the offset, I just don't know what this set has. I'd be seeing the wheels in person, but it's a bit of a hike and I'd hate to make the trip if the wheels won't work. Not having to pay shipping's def a perk though.

What I really need are new cats, but if these wheels are a once-in-a-lifetime deal I could find the money. I'm not getting that vibe from y'all though, so I'll probably let someone else have em and just get something else down the line.

+1 s2k offsets are usually +40 or higher... will not look good on the Z at all.

yep! That's them, he hadn't listed the offset where I saw them for sale, but I asked him and that's what he said. Soo, that's going to be a negatory on the sale for me, but I'm sure someone else will be able to put them to good use.

But! The upside of this thread is that I now know what sort of offset I should be looking for so it's all good.

I just looked and they were 7.5 width rims with plus 50 offset. That would definitly look worse than stock wheels. I think they would look like aftermarket donuts lol
