Default Too much stretch?

Hey guys,

So im not really into the hella stretch look, but I recently bought kumho ecsta tires for a hefty price and I got a good deal on some wheels. I kinda want to run these tires since they are brand new, so do you think the stock tire sizes would fit a 9.75 width wheel all around? I have 18/225/45 on the front, and 18/245/45 in the rear. Wondering exactly how much of a stretch I would get for the fronts, the rears im assuming will be okay. I don't want to sell these tires and get new ones, because I won't get close to what i paid, and they are brand new. If possible, I would like to use them, so no bashing on how stretch looks stupid. Thanks

Post up the XXRs once you have them on and then we'll let you know if they look ok.

that defeats the purpose of this thread. I want to know if the tire would even stretch that much or be an okay stretch before I put them on....

You will be fine with that stretch... You are running a 45 sidewall, so you can get away with a little more stretch... I was running a 225/35 on a 9.5, so I think you will be fine... Hell, some people were running a 215/35 on 9.5's...

The rears won't be as stretched as the fronts though...

courtesy of rimtuck.com
picture closest to specs you are asking (put in 9.75 and nothing popped up)
18x9.5 225/45 front
18x9.5 245/45 rear
being you are talking .25" wider wheels then i'd say you have nothing to worry about in terms of it being "too stretched" - it'll be not stretched enough IMO
