Default Just put on my LM-22s...Update

Just got back from the dealer after having them put on my Blizzaks. We don't have any snow right now in Boston, but I can tell you that on the dry pavement, these tires ride considerably softer and quieter. I'll let everyone know how things turn out once we get some snow.

I just put mine on this weekend and noticed how much quieter they are as well ... I thought snows were supposed to be louder??

That's what I thought as well...Either way, I never thought I'd be excited to see snow in my Z.

Got my first chance to test the tires out as we just got a little snow in Boston...There wasn't a ton of accumulation, but there was definitely a layer of snow on the street (a decent amount on the side streets)...These tires are worth every penny...You obviously can't drive recklessly (like some of those SUV's), but they make a world of difference...I'm not taking the car out in a blizzard, but if I need to get somewhere in the snow, I have the utmost confidence in my LM-22s...

The blizzaks are definitely worth it if you ever have to drive in snow. I noticed mine were louder than the stock tires. They feel softer than I would like, but they handle well.

Mine are great in light snow (<2") but the car is still pretty scary in heavy snow.

If you noticed a difference in sound then you might have some tire feathering going on with the summer tires. I would check them out.

Default No snow here in AZ

I just put on a set of 20's with Falken Tires... they are awesome... much smoother and quieter and softer ride... not to mention the better handling from a 30 series tire.

DPK, how much did those Blizzaks cost (per tire)? You have 17's or 18's?

I have the stock 18's and paid $950 for all four from Tire Rack. I think the fronts were $215 and the rears were $230 each, but add on shipping and the total's about $950. I was thinking of going down in size, but didn't want to deal with the hassle. It's a lot of money to spend, but if I can get three winters out of them, I'll be happy. It's nice to know that if I see snow, I'm not trapped inside. So, from that standpoint alone, the tires are well worth it.

It's cold and raining here today... is that better. Well just think in the summer when it's nice in the states where it snows... us here in AZ have to deal with our new tires sticking to the streets since it's 115 degrees here... even at night.
