Default Using 17-inch wheels from a 2005 on a 2007

I currently have an 07 with 18-inch touring v2 wheels (http://i44.tinypic.com/2r43dht.jpg).

Will 17-inch wheels (http://i42.tinypic.com/msgewy.jpg) be a direct fit if I want to run them as a dedicated set for winter tires?

Thanks!

Because in 2006, Nissan went to a larger diameter brake rotor. It is a valid question.

17 inch wheels and snow tires is a popular subject. Remember you are getting two 7.5 inch wheels and two 8.0 inch wheels. Keep the same size wheels on the same axle.

Is there a way to tell from the rim itself? My other option is going with the current tires on em.

There are two rims that have 235/50/17 tires on at the moment. I'm assuming these will only fit the rear axle. The other two rims have 225/50/17 tires on, and these should fit the front. Did I figure this out right?

Don't recall if specs are stamped on the wheel.

Front: 225/50/17
Rear: 235/50/17
is OK. Question is do you have VDC?

I do have VDC. My 07 is a touring. I kept the front at 225/50/17 but I'm having 225/55/17's mounted on the rear axle instead. I was told by tirerack that this combo (225/55/17 rears and 225/50/17 fronts) would be within specs for VDC and SLIP to work properly. I was more concerned with making sure that the 05 rim will physically fit on my 07.

The OEM 17 inch sizes or what you just posted will work great with VDC

It doesn't matter, as stated in the Top 100 Questions thread, they will even fit over Brembos.

Mike, I think your questions are answered, but just as a review.

1) The 17” wheels you ask about will fit your car.
2) 225/50/17 Front, and 225/55/17 Rear is ideal and works perfectly with VDC.

You're good to go with the selections you are considering.
