Default Thinking of powdercoating my wheels

I am thinking about powdercoating my Axis Se7en Mods gunmetal. I just photoshopped a quick pic, they would be shinier in real life. What do you think about it?

Here is what it might look like:

but wouldn't powder coating turn out a tad darker. almost black?

if you can get that kind of a shade. do it.

Would the shop have to break down the wheel, then put it back together? I'm assuming you are going to leave the lips polished. Or would the shop just mask off the lip and spray the center?

They can't break down the wheel, its a fake 3 piece, the rivits are just for looks. So, I guess that the will mask and spray. Will that cause any problems? Yes, I am going to leave the lips polished. I have decided that I will do this after I stared at the pic all day. Does anyone know how much it will cost?

I went on a run yesterday with mostly exotic and rare cars and there was a sweet 996 with gunmetal axis wheels. Heres a shot of them, might help you to better visualize your wheels.

I've had quotes of 65.00 per wheel without any masking.

Thanks for the info, this is cheaper than I expected. Now I just have to find a good shop. Anyone know of one in the Atlanta area?
