Extremely loud road noise...
I have an 06 coupe with 108k miles, and over the last year have noticed the tire feathering causing louder and louder road noise. I was on my second set of tires so I knew that the noise was inevitable. I had the Continental ExtremeContact DW on with right around 40k on them. The right rear was just about bald, so I decided to get get some new tires, and make the ride quieter again. This time I went with the Continental ExtemeContact DWS. Have them put on and I get in the car to drive away excited to have quiet again. All seemed fine in the parking lot, then I got onto the roads. That's when the noise came right back louder than ever. At 23mph is were it starts to get pretty notisable, but at 40-55mph it is just ridiculous. The DWS's are my third set of new tires I've put on, and both previous times the sound went away completely.
I thought that maybe the alignment might be off a bit, (hit a huge pot hole in a construction area by me a few weeks back.) and its always good to get it aligned with new tires. So I went today to get the alignment check, sure enough the front tires were off just a bit. Got that fixed and hoped maybe that would solve my problems(even though deep down I knew it wouldn't).If anything it might have made it a tiny bit noisier.
So I have no clue what could be causing this, is it the tires? Something else maybe? I have noticed that when I turn the steering wheel maybe 3° to the right the noise drops by at least 50% if not more. It doesn't do it if I turn left, just that tiny bit to the right does it. The alignment garage did a quick check on basic car "needs" and the said my power steering fluid was dirty and needed to be flushed, same with brake fluid. Not being a technical car guy, I have no clue if that could be part of the problem?
Hopefully someone has had this issue, or knows that is causing/caused it.

- Loud road noise
- Got new tires
- nosie still there
- got alignment
- noise even louder
Have the alignment checked at a Nissan dealership. Also, ask the dealer to inspect your springs, shocks, and front end suspension.
Since you have 100K+ miles, you may need to replace some of your suspension components. My 2003 Z has 80K+ miles, and it needs some suspension repairs due to wear. My tires (I also have Conti DWS) are suddenly running with more noise.

Here is a video I took on the way home today where you can hear the sound
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqyAE...ature=youtu.be
Also in the video you see a semi in the last few seconds, whose tire blew up not 10 seconds after I stopped filming. Sounded like a huge explosion and I thought my engine blew or something terrible just happened to me, lol.

You are getting the noise from suspension I think so inspect your vehicle suspension and change the tires and also check the shocks from a reputed dealer or car care shop.

Front Lower Control arms bushings (inner) are notorious for breaking off (I bought a press at HF, and just replaced mine with ES bushings
) Link to thread below:

If the noise is harmonics ( think of a fan vibrating at a certain speed) check any part of the rear drive shafts for movement, play, broken or worn parts. Key word here is parts that move. ( like if you have ever had warped rotors you know what I mean)
Push down on the car (while its on the ground) and see if you can replicate the sound.
If so its 98% sure its a suspension or bushing related.
From that video, I can tell you the sound was getting louder(more reps) as the RPMs were going up, which would lead me to believe its some components that spins. Check for bubbles in the tire tread or sidewall.
Check all 4 wheel hubs ( make sure you test these in 1 axis at a time ( up/ down, left/right, in/out) if you hear play, its probably a bad bearing. I cant tell you if its from the front or the rear though.
I hope this helped.
