Best Tires for a Smooth Ride?

You may not "hot rod" around, but your Z certainly does. As a high performance sportscar with low profile tires, it's never going to have a truly cushy ride. But look at some of the latest all-season tires (I like the General AS-03) and research some of the tests and customer comments at Tire Rack before you make a choice.
No W-rated tire will give you a comfortable ride. But you may be happy with an all-season tire.
I recently went with General G-MAX AS-03. Happy with dry and wet performance. Not suitable for competition of course, but just fine on the street. Only negative thing is that they "sing" at about 40 MPH.

Rather than asking a bunch of random people you can search through Tire Rack for specific reviews and ratings

Nearly highest rated tire in terms of comfort is what I run - Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports

I love my Bridgestone RE970 AS!
Quiet as a mouse, excellent ride on 45's. Grip if you need it.

Just stick with stock sizing and not low profile.
Probably something that isn't as sport oriented like an ultra high performance tire should do you well.
I agree with many of the answers, Tire rack offers a wealth of knowledge, I would spend some time there and make an educated decision.

Hi, The Continental Extreme all-season provides the moist comfortable ride and least noisy tire, but lacks the performance you get from the same series Continental Extreme tire rated as summer performance.
Continental Extreme isn't the best performance tire, but it is about the most quiet and comfortable tire.
