I just had my new Bridgestone Potenza S-04's put on yesterday in 265/35/18 and 285/35/18 on a stock suspension. I poke in both the front and the rear without spacers. The entire setup with tires shipped from tire-rack and mount + alignment was $1,200. I could not imagine what $50 tires would feel like and I would hope they are used at best for that price.
Cheaping out in an area like the tires in one of the biggest mistakes you can make. That is both the first and last contact your vehicle makes with the road. They are the vessel in which the power in delivered and how you stay on the road and not in a ditch or around a tree.
edit: I'm also on Enkei rpf1's 18x9.5+15 18x10.5+15
Not to say that you can't find good deals but I would be nervous about purchasing any major component of a car for $50 especially one driven in such a spirited manner as a Z. If you do choose to post again do some research or at least put some thought into your post because you're about to be in for a treat.

I have about three and two fingers gap front and rear sitting on 265/35/18 and 285/35/18. You have both a larger wheel size and the same or larger tread wall. The rear I can see being especially problematic and most car manufacturers give the front fender a deeper cut than the rear.
The real issue here is that by googling "275/40/19 on a 350z" over 5 similar threads appeared. You could have saved yourself time by seeing if your question had already been asked. These are over ten year old cars that are highly modified. I'm sure by now almost any Z related question you have had has been answered many times over.

Let me chime in and be extra harsh....
First of all, 215, thats civic fitment. You want to rock civic tires, go buy a civic.
Secondly, 215 up front, that back end is going to end up in alot of ditches and smack alot of poles...
Thirdly, 215f and 275r thats WAYYYYYY out of balance in twrm of handling for the car... 50 bucks per tires... no wonder why, crap tires cheap price used or not the size is crap.
Fourthly, i didnt even read the thread all the way through and already i can tell 215 and 275 on 11 wide is going look like the kid on the short bus licking the window.
But to answer your question. Nope no rubbing will happen (especially if youre jdm AF and camber the crap out of the wheels. #swag #yolo #stancenation)

This creates a problem when you go up to a 275/40/19 because not only have you increased the size of the wheel (rim) but you have also increased the "height" of the sidewall. This happens because you now have 40% of 275 in the rear. I want to say a stock Z runs 225/45/18 245/45/18. The fronts will fit no problem I believe. If there is an issue you will find it in the rears.

Ahh, I see. You don't understand what the numbers actually mean in relation to the tire. When a tire is a 215/35 or a 275/40 that means it is 215 mm wide and the 35 refers to it's aspect ratio or tread wall. The 35 means that it is 35% of the 215mm tall.

Im lowered in ebaich prokit. Im running 275/40r18 and i only SLIGHTLY rub. Admittedly im only 9.5+22 in the rear. Rolling my fenders would give me PLENTY of clearance.
So assuming stock height, with 11 wide, (no clue on his offset) if he rolled the fender and camber it a bit, he *should* clear the rear with 275/40

Well that would also depend on the amount of camber he runs.
