TCS vs VDC
Hey, I am confused. As I posted on the main forum, I have an Enthusiast, stock right now, and from what I understood I thought the car didn't have an traction control systems or the like. However when I try to launch the car the car bucks and shudders instead of giving me a little wheel spin and biting down. I am only moving the clutch out at maybe 2500 RPM ... not dropping it at 6k and chewing the thing apart. I have pressed the TSC button on my car but it doesn't seem to get rid of the buck... anyone think they have an idea what is amiss? Thanks, going to mull over the manual some more.

Not sure if its the same on your car. But on my G35C with the VDC turned off I get a similar feeling, this I found out was because of the crappy Vicous LSD engaging. I have driven a G35C with a aftermarket LSD (forget which make) and it was a night and day difference, the shuddering/wiggling etc did not occur with the new lsd.
I have the same problem, it happened to me because I have changed my rims and tires. When I did that, I did not keep the same ratio in diameter for the front and rear tires as compared to stock. Keep in mind that from teh factory the front tire is smaller in diameter than the rear tire. There is a ratio between them. When you change your tires to whatever. You have to keep that ratio, this way your car will always see your front and rear tires rotating with the same ratio, (your fronts rotate more because they are smaller). Your car uses this ratio to calculate if there is any wheel spin and it will engage the TCS if it thinks that the rear tires are spinning too fast. It will also engage TCS if the ratio between your front and rear tires are not the same even if you are driving with out the tires slipping. Even if you turn off VDC, you will sometimes still get this problem if the ratio between the front and rears is outside of your car's computer's limits. I opted to go with the same size diameter tires on the front and rears and I got this problem. It was almost sporadic but when I fixed my tire ratios by making the fronts smaller then the rears, it went away.
