Question VDC Help

Hey guys, i woulda used a search to try an find this but its not working. I'm still a neebiee and wasent able to find this anywhere. So hopefully someone can help. I plan on running E/T streets next week up at our local dragstrip and i read that you cant do a brake stand even with VDC off. I read it will think somethings wrong a kick on VDC while in a brake stand and bog the car out. Is there a way to totally dissable it? I ran lastnight on my Track wheels w/ the stock tires...EMBARRASSING. I even let the pressure down to 20psi, stupid TPS pressure warning was beeping all over the place, annoying. Whats it gonna do when i have different wheels on the back? Sorry for so many questions just kinda new to this. I saw 3 Z's lastnight up at New England Dragway, didnt get a chance to talk to them cause i was to busy swearing and cursing at my factory tires. Thanks Alot!!!

It's not the VDC that causes the problem, the car cuts the throttle when you push the brakes. There is a thread somewhere explaining what you have to do to trick the car so it doesn't know you are gassing and braking at the same time. I think search is still broke, maybe someone else can help point you in the right direction.

I think the fix was to remove either the third tailight fuse or ABS fuse. I can't remember for sure either, but I think it had to do with pulling fuses.

12secZ posted a bit about it, since he has an auto, but he's got about a million posts so it would be tough to find the info without the search working.

Good luck!

The search does still work for screen names so, that may help limit your search results ... I definitely would not yank the ABS fuse just in case you need to brake hard. I would rather have a slightly lower ET than hit the wall if the brakes locked up.

Hmmmm...so to be able to do brake stands you have to have the tail fuse pulled....so no brake light huh? i just tried pulling the abs fuse and it still died down while trying to hold a brake stand...so gay. still blows nasty donutes though. Just had alittle fun in a parkinglot, recoreded it with a digi camera, i'll post it back if anyone wants to check out me an my z having alittle fun. It was the first donute in my car...so its a special one
