Default Has anyone tried transporting 4 wheels/tires inside the Z?

I just picked up some track wheels/tires. I was wondering if anyone has tried removing the passenger seat and hauling wheels? If so, do all 4 fit? I'm guessing they probably won't fit, but it's worth asking before I yank the seat and try myself tomorrow. Thanks.

you can put 2 front wheels in the passenger seat; put the seatbelt through the middle to hold them in place. remove the spare tire and put 1 rear wheel in the spare tire area and the last rear wheel over the strut bar and resting in the middle between the 2 seats.

make sure you bag all of your wheels/tires.

Try the two smallest(width wise) side by side in the passenger seat. Put one rear tire under the strut and the other over the strut between it and the seats. Hatch probably wont close so just drive slow.

I've seen a guy at an autocross that had 4 with an aftermarket jack, air tank and helmet along with other stuff. They were 18" w/tires he left the spare at home.

raceboy did it by removing the front passenger seat... plenty of room when you do that! I think he got three of them in the empty space and one in the spare tire well....

I'm curious as to whether you can stack two wheels on top of each other in the back if you remove the spare tire, rear plastic interior, and the plastic on the hatch (maybe the rear wiper w/ motor too). Anyone given this a try?

4 wheels with tires will fit as described above. I do it all the time if you remove the ps seat then you can fit a fifth wheel up front. the wheel over the strut bar should not be over 10in wide and no more than 265 tire (most fronts are not that wide anyway...) and no you can not stack two wheels in place of the spare, even a stock front will not fit with the skinny spare

Damn. Even if you remove all the plastic from the rear hatch?

I switched out my 18" tourings for 18" tracks so had to lug around 4 wheels/tires. put the 2 front wheels in the back, pad them if you like w/ light towels so you don't scratch the interior. place 1 of the rear wheels where the passenger's feet should go. Push the seat all the way back and you can put the remaining wheel/tire on the seat w/o having to remove the seat or spare tire. Still plenty of room for helmet and minor tools behind the rear console and rear strut. Cheers.

As much as I'd like to do it the way that puts one over the plastic behind the heatrests, the x-brace of my roll bar prevents this...

Two in the passenger seat, one in the spare tire well and the other up on the ledge between the two speakers (behind the strut bar) seems to be the easiest way.
