I think the hipermax II may be too harsh. Would the RS coilovers be better?

i have the ls+ and they are not cushy at all....i have mine set at about 19 out of 30 harshness and its enough to eliminate the bounciness and provide performance and comfort too. i still have stock rims and tires also (17's)....but given i could go 11 more clicks you could get a lot stiffer feel if desired. i think its a good combination of sport and comfort without going to the extreme of one or the other...basically the best of both worlds.

HKS LS+ G35 Coupe (Monotube construction, adjustable dampners)
504/448 +58%front +29% (rear springs are progressive)
transfers 29% roll stiffness to the front
Side Note: Tuned more aggressively then the LS. And they are actually valved to be stiffer then the same 350Z version.
HKS LS+ 350Z (Monotube construction, adjustable dampners)
448/448 43%front +31%
transfers 12% roll stiffness to the front
Side Note: Tuned more aggressively then the LS and this 350Z application does not transfer roll stiffness to the front in the manner that the G35 version does.
HKS LS G35 (Monotube construction, non adjustable dampners)
448/336 43%front -1%
transfers 44% roll stiffness to the front
Special Note: A comfort ride system, compare to Tein CS coilover
HKS LS 350z (Monotube construction, non adjustable dampners)
448/448 43%front +31%
transfers 12% roll stiffness to the front
Special Note: A comfort ride system, spring rates make better sense then same G35 application, compare to Tein CS
HKS II 350Z (Monotube construction, adjustable dampners)
504/504 +61%front +47%rear $1600
transfers 14% roll stiffness to the front
Special Note: sprung and valved to be HKS’s most aggressive product, it is a notch above the RS coil over on the track, compare to Tein Flex and Jic coilovers.
HKS RS (Monotube construction, adjustable dampning)
448/448 F+43% R+31%
Transfers 12% roll stiffness to the front
Special Note: “Marketed” as HKS’s track coil over with a good street ride. They are not as aggressive as the Hypermax II's in valving or spring rates.

) but does not transfer as much spring stiffness to the front. Looking at the valving specs, the Hypermax II's are as aggressive as HKS says they are, more aggressive then the RS and with higher spring rates too. I'm leaning towards the Hypermax II, but I want that kind of aggressiveness.

I did pull the part number from the Japanese HKS website, but have been unable to find the part number in anything in English.
I would have thought the LS+ would have been the same setup for the G35 and Z. Where did you pull your info from?

1. Compairing the 350Z LS+ to the RS specs I show, yes that's the way it looks. But the RS is NOT listed on HKS's Japaneese web site, so I can't see if the valving specs might be totally different. Hearing the HKS tech talk in the U.S., the RS is more aggressive. I'll believe that when I see the valving specs. I'm able to show the spring rates for the RS because I called HKS USA and convinced them to give me that info.
2. Maybe HKS does not import the 350Z LS+ into the U.S. at this time. That would explain that. I would call HKS and ask, if they don't carry it, can they get it.
3. Some companies tune both cars the same, some do not. HKS tunes the G with softer spring rates in the rear, Cusco tunes the Z that way. And other's like Tein tune both the same. What is totally surprising is to see the same coilover setup for the G35 with stiffer dampner valving, yes normally when things are done differently, it's the G that is done softer. All my info comes from the HKS site in Japan (the spec page was NOT easy to find, but it's their) and from a conversation I had with HKS USA.

call hks usa and get the part number for the 350Z LS+ coilovers...they can order it from japan through a distributor...thats how i got mine. i didn't see the part number on their site recently but they have been out a while...you just have to call them as g35 suggested.
