Plenty of info on it, the vast majority of it is in the drift section

I got my current welded diff done by PBM in California. They plate weld them, so you have some peace of mind and don't have to worry about the diff exploding one day randomly. "We are now offering a gusset reinforced weld locked zero slip differential service with 100% unbreakable guarantee up to 350PS." Here's the link to their page: http://www.partsshopmax.com/page.php?8 They had a quick turnaround and now the diff has been in my car for more than a year. I've drifted tons, daily driven, gone on 16+ hour road trips, launched the car, everything and I've had zero problems with the diff. Rock solid. I'm selling the welded diff soon because I'm installing a 3.7 diff. PM me and I'll give you first dibs on it.

Have not done this to the Z, but have done it in the 80's on my rally car. The more important question is what are you trying to accomplish? A welded diff will allow you to put more power to the road, but also make the car tail happy.

I have a tomei 1.5 sitting in the garage but decided to weld my vlsd first. It's rought for daily driving. The heavy rear end of the 350z makes it worse. If your car is not a drift car, i wouldn't do it
