Test drove a 370Z yesterday and compared to my fully bolt on DE w/Osiris base map it felt a bit faster on the butt dyno. These dynos look like confirmation of a logical and reasonable progression in engine development by Nissan.
^ If that was directed at me I thought I made it clear that I believe these dynos and that the 370Z was without doubt making more power than my modded DE...comprehenshun. get some.
looks like someone f'ed up on the vq35HR run. I have had mine dyno'd several times and never seen spikes like that in the mid range. Mine were all very smooth.(for a stock tune anyway)

Why don't you go over to Sam's thread and tell him that? I think it has to do with the 2nd throttle body opening or cam changes - not sure. If you do ask him about it, I wouldn't phrase it quite the way you did. Top tuners take offense to those kinds of remarks.
Keep dreaming. According to Nissan (you know, the guys who actually build these cars), the DE has the highest torque (274) of any Z ever built.
This statement needs an explanation.
The DE indeed has the highest peak Tq published by Nissan, but it only achieves this in one small rev band. ( aprox 4.5K to 4.8K ) at most other revs the later motors are making more Tq than the DE & therefore more power.
Tq = HP x 5252 divided by RPM and HP = Tq x RPM divided by 5252.
