Default Dose X-pipes remove RASP

hi all
i found a thread talking about that he installed MF X-pipes with his Borla+TP and it did remove a lot of the RASP that he used to have with his mod (there is a clip befor and after) :
https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....hlight=X+pipes
1)did any one else try this ?

2) dose X-pipes work for every true dual exhaust ?

3) would X-pipes bring back the Z tone ? APS sound is good but i love the stock tone and the true dual gain

Yes. This isn't an isolated incident. Many have done this mod and have all claimed that rasp is gone.

just curious where this would go on a true dual, the hks has a somewhat of an "h" pipe with only about an inch from each other

The X pipe can go anywhere along the length where it's convenient. An X-pipe and H-pipe are not the same. An X-pipe has well documented advantages. I'm considering replacing the H-pipe in my evoTT with a perforated X pipe muffler.

yes, the x-pipe has performance advantages over an h-pipe, the exhaust pulse balancing is the same idea though. in general, anytime you compare something that forces air to go 90* to the normal flow to something that is more like a collector, the collector will win

When I had Tp's on my borla I cut out the H in the exhaust and welded the two pipes together. They are only about 3'' apart enough to bur grind the opening bigger and squezed them together to weld. It made the exhaust flow so smooth with no rasp. I have fought this exhaust since the day I got it to get the sound and performance I wanted. If I had to do it all over I would have went a different exhaust. But you gotta love the sound of Borla..

The Magnaflow perforated X does remove the rasp from Borla TD. I had this mod done as well.

I have to agree with these comments. As you say though... you've gotta love the sound that Borla makes.

Yes the magnaflow x pipe removes all rasp. I put on my x pipe before my HFC's, and my borla made no noise at all.
Also I used the same x pipe as the OG that started this mod and he and I run this.

Looks way different than what's pictured above.

The custom X reduced your rasp on the HKS?
How else did it affect the sound on that system?

headers + testpipes + FI 2.5" true dual = no rasp

I'm gonna guess the Magnaflow x-pipe muffler helps a lot with this setup.
