Lurked enough, Figure it's time to sign up!
Hey guys. I've been on and off reading on here since I got my 05' 35th Anniversary almost two months ago.
I'm definitely not new to Z's (I've owned more s30's/130's than I'll ever care to admit!) and after working on a heap of Z32's... I honestly looked over the 350 because I figured it would be more complicated/tightly packed as the 32. Boy was I wrong.
My last s30 experience was a patched up shell with as many saved up Nissan Competition parts I saved up over the past 10 years of scavenging. Daily driving a car that was a cage and slicks shy of a track car was a BAD idea. Getting older made me realize that I DO like things like AC and ABS... Anyone who has been in a turbo s30z in the rain can agree with how annoying it can get... Especially with no ac/defrost.
My new daily search was between a Super Black 35th or a 1990 n/a z32. After realizing that Nissan did away with the timing belts on the z33 and actually test driving the 35th... I didn't even bother looking at the z32.
Fun part is I got the car for really cheap... The used dealer didn't know what they had. I was able to talk them down even more due to a dent in the driver's door and a crank sensor issue. Ended up being a chipped flywheel. Ouch. After that fix though, it's been literally PERFECT. And it's a revup that doesn't burn any oil (already put 8k on it, haha).
I used to mod the **** out of cars, but this one honestly has me content. Perfect for a daily/occasional event car. Only mods are V1 Track wheels and a nismo shift **** that came with the car. All I want to do is polish up/laminx the headlights, respray (fix the damn dent), and drive it! I guess growing up has made me appreciate the Z for being a very well all-around car.
Enough of my banter, here's a few potato pics!
A picture of the last s30 for hoots!

Welcome and congratulations! Thanks for your introduction. Z33 looks good. I have a weak spot for the S30.

Welcome and congrats!
Beautiful z33, the v1 Track wheels look better than any other IMO and awesome s30!
It'll be nice having someone with your history of z cars around the forum.
I'm glad you don't plan on doing anything to the z33, I've kept mine stock since I bought it new in '04, it really is a great all around car.

Big thanks for the warm welcome guys!
I will say that since acquiring the car... MY350Z has been an invaluable resource for diagnosing issues and even learning tricks like the pedal dance for reading and clearing codes. I hope at some point I can contribute some knowledge as I go.
Oh, speaking of...
Whoever had the car before me, nailed it with this thermostat replacement...
Managed to set off the code for not warming up fast enough in Florida's lovely "cold" snaps... If you consider low 50's cold. haha.
My big goal is to keep cleaning it up, and finding some Z related activities either local or somewhat close to the Southeast.

Welcome and congratulations on a really tidy purchase. I just gotta say I really love the S30. IMO that is the car that gave Datsun the credibility they'd been aiming for.

Funny thing... Feeling the weight of the Z33 aside (not necessarily a bad thing at all, mind you).. They "feel" very similar in the man/machine as one department.
