Wrong size tires. You made the rears shorter and now they are probably shorter than the fronts.

The only fix is to have the proper sized tires on your car.

dont mean to steal a thread here but have a question around the same issue.
my tires are stock i have a 2004 touring
ill be going at a steady speed of 60mph and i hit the accelerator hard the car will speed up to (75) until the slip light turns on and then the car sorta shuts off and until it slows down around to 50 i gain control again.
when i turn the vdc off nothing like this happens.
what causes a problem like this?
is that how the slip should work?
sorry for the noob question

If the tire sizes are the stock sizes I mention above, here are possible sources for the problem you describe:
- Your car’s VDC is malfunctioning. This is very unlikely.
- Your rear tires are worn
- Your rear tires are under inflated.
- Your front tires are over inflated.
- A combination of inflation errors (under in the rear and over in the front)
- A combination of inflation errors and worn rear tires
- You have different brands of tires or type of tires font and rear.

I’ve learned to never assume anything here, so when you say “my tires are stock i have a 2004 touring” you have 245/45-18” front and 245/45-18” rear. Is that correct?

Rear

^^ But those tires are the correct size (just on 17" wheels which makes no difference with VDC).
Here is what's going on: Your rear tires are slipping (albiet very slightly) enough to activate VDC. Check wear, inflation, and tire compatability to discover the problem.
You do have the correct tire sizes.

ok thank you for your help.
i wanted to make sure the car acts like that when then vdc takes over.
another question im getting a new set of tires since they have very little thread left on them. and the front drives is really used on the inside thats called feathering right?
is that fixed with an alignment?
