Smile Finally Got My Z

Took delivery of my 2005 Touring Chrome Silver MT a week ago. I have been lurking here for over a year reading most everything....has been a great learning experience.

Anything special I should do for the first couple of months?

BTW I am loving it!

Only concern is that the stock wheels already have got some paint scraped off them. I haven't been near anything to scrape them. Dealer said they do that very easily.....could be something from the road that kicked up. Doesn't sound right to me but nonetheless they are there. Anybody have any clues? Thank you.

Congrats. For the first 1,000 miles or so you're supposed to take it easy on the car to break it in. I bought mine used so I didn't have to bother but if you search these forums, there have been some good discussions on how to break in the car.

I've seen all kinds of weird things on cars at dealers. I'm sure one of their salesman rubbed a curb or something.

Congrats are in order! Yah, it was hard for me to keep it under 4k on the freeways but worth the wait once you get over 1000 miles! you will have fun with your new Z and while you're breaking it in, buy the simple mods so you have something to look forward to when you are over 1K. hehe

466 miles on my Black AT Touring and loveing it!!!! I can now use gas, brake, and windshield wiper control stick. Next week the headlight stick. I had a 300ZX when they first came out and had forgotten how wickedly quick these cars are.
