looking to buy a new 350z
I'm interested in either the Enthusiast (6MT) or Performance trim (both '05). I believe the cost between the two is about $2K. Do you think the difference in price is worth it for the Perf. trim? Keep in mind that I plan to run things pretty stock, with the exception of an aftermarket spoiler perhaps. I also priced out a used '04 touring model for about $26K (w/ navi). Considering that Nissan might have fixed the kinks on it 05 models, should I stay away from the 04?
If you had to do it all over again, what would you do?

Given your in a warm weather climate, I'd go for 05 Enthusiast. You still get TCS with the Enthusiast (but not VDC).
I think new is always better than used if you have the $$$$.

yeah, unless you want the 05 track or 35 anniv model with 300hp, i don't think there will be too many differences in the current 04 and 05 models in the enthu/perf models that is. How does the touring look, brand new?? If so go for it, save some money for mods, it should still have a full warranty right? Maybe ask them to throw in a silver extended warranty or something. But i love the navi, although interface could be better, it has saved me a few times and although we are in so cali, the seat warmers do feel good on a cold night. I guess the 05's all have mirror heaters which i think is great too in the touring. Anyways, just minor stuff, but great when you have it.
i guess take a look at the front tires for wear on the inside tread, ask them if that car had problems with feathering? Make them do a full alignment before accepting it.
