Raining in So Cali... Had to drive the beater... BOO HOO!

Come on, the rain is just a good way to experiment with how the VDC behaves. I've been goosing it around almost every corner just to see what it does. I took a wide off-camber left pretty fast, and the VDC blipped the brakes and shut down the throttle a little, it was very controlled. It reacted a little slower than I expected, I was about to start counter measures when it kicked in. I was kind of wierd just going along with the car as it delt with the situation.
I have been waiting for some slick weather so I could see how this thing works. I didn't want to find out in an extream situation, slow speed slick conditions has given me an idea of what this thing can do. Still need some more playing. Of course I'll turn off the VDC for some sideways pratice if the situation ever presents itself (i.e open space with no one around).

The only time I really run my car... is when I am challenged for a race!
I wish I could keep the Z out of the rain.. The GS400 gets to be the garage queen though w/ the M3. The Z is really fun to drive in the rain though, it has WONDERFUL handling, and tremendous grip. I tried losing the rear end, and that LSD is great, it makes it hard to lose traction around the corners, and I only set off VDC twice. VDC DOES kick in quite late though, My rear end swung around about 2ft. before it kicked in and by that time I was already in my own countermeasures.
I am not really doubting my 350Z in the rain, I am doubting the ignorant people arond me in those other non-controllable vehles with no driving skills. I know that accidents do happen, but at least if its gonna happen, let it happen in a vehicle that the parts might be able to come in within a week.
My beater has a feature that I can flick a switch & the wheels have an automatic 4wheel drive grip control that kicks in if any of the rear wheels start to slip. Plus I feel safer up there.
Don't laugh at my beater, mixed with 3 layers of dirt, bird bowels, & rain, the beater is lookin kinda rough right about now..
