Smile New guy!

Hey all!
I'm new to this form and just wanted to introduce myself.
I love this car! My father used to own a 1980, 1982 280ZX and a 1991 TT and so I inherited the love for the Z. When I heard about it coming back, I knew it was my turn to own one.
We'll, I recently paid off my 2003 Touring 6-spd and now its all mine.
Now that its paid off, I'm planning on adding some performance mods so I'd like you hear your suggestions or what you did.
After the performance mods, I'm thinking of getting the NISMO LMGT4 18" rims.
I hear that they're only recommended to be used on Zs without VDC since they weren't tested on VDC equipped vehicles.
Why didn't they do that in the first place? For those of you with a Performance, Touring or Track and have the NISMO rims, how do they affect your VDC?
Have any of you had issues with them?
I appreciate your input.
Thanks!

well i have larger than stock tires/ wheels
it doesnt affect My VDC tooo much,
its just a little more sensitive to the slip indicator, i switch it off for harder cornering ( not same wheels as yer looking at) see signature.

Welcome to the Z machine man! The nismo rims are sexy, and I don't see why they would mess with your VDC. They're 18 inches, just like your touring wheels. They may make it slightly more sensitive, but it won't be a problem driving it daily, and you would turn off VDC if you were at the track anyway.

Thanks for the tips and the kind welcomes!
It looks like I shouldn't have a problem going with the NISMO rims so I going to go with those.

King Tut.
I live in Tampa so I'm a little far from you, but maybe we'll catch each other on the road one day.

Hey guys! Thanks for the info.
I'll definitely check it out.
I would like to meet and talk with fellow Z owners.
I need some ideas on what performance mods I should do.
I've never been to meet like this before.
I'm sure it will be cool experience.
Thanks again.
