Default how long do you wait to pull over. (police)

you realy dont have to pull over until the cops are be hind you. some times i will be driving in the country and i will go by a cop. i am most of the time blatently speeding in exssive abouts. but you must remeber that a cop has to turn around and then maintain a speed greater than yours to finaly catch up with you. those heavy american vehicles cant take the corners to well either, so remeber that next time you see one. in the long run i would agree that it is best to live with in the law. but hey what s life if you dont live once in awhile. in short make the cop work to get ya.

basicly if your heart starts beating to fast you should not do it. because you will not be able to drive like you normaly can. and if they are right behind you then your screwed any way. but from a legal stand point they have to prove you were the driver. so even if they have your plates its ok. but dont take my advice. unless your willing to risk it.

That was Rodney King's philosophy too.

The problem isn't whether or not the Z is faster. The cop (if he deems it necessary) can call for a roadblock or a lot more cop cars. Don't run from the cops, that's just stupid. But I suppose if you're going 100+ and the cop is parked on the side of the road, he doesn't stand much of chance. Unless you're in italy of course... http://www.italiancar.com.au/pilot/art127.htm

Almost all cop interceptors have a max speed of 120... with an excess of 140+ with the Z... (an for example my Xfire) there is not a possible way for "THAT" car to catch you... but we arent a R1... radio's are faster!!!

A police car radio (Motorola) will outrun any car that has been or ever will be devised by man!

However, there are some rules to be observed. If it's literally not safe to pull off the road at the point the pursuit car indicates by light or loudspeaker so requests, put your emergency blinkers on, slow to 35 mph until you find a spot where you can pull over safely.

If youi're in a car other than a Z, place both hands on the top of the steering wheel (at night illuminate the interior lights). If you're in a Z, either day or night, I would get out of the car and stand beside it. Both hands should be readily seen by the police officer.

im talking about running in the country. to many roads to block. and not that many cops to call for back up that could get there on time. plus i have a police radio scanner.

As a rule you should not pull over until the helicopter is called in.

I've done it once...

The cop had to turn around and cross the median to catch up with me. I was in a camaro at the time, so I hit a long straight road that was near by, and then took a few turns down side roads and waited about 15 minutes....If he was after me, then he'd have to play the guessing game to figure out if I kept going down that long road or took one of the many turns.

I wouldnt try to outrun them, but if you can take a few turns you might can lose them. Now if they're right on your tail then I'd just pull over.

thats the spirit!

-the Z is actual quicker than basicly every police plane and helicopter out there. trust me my dad's realy in the planes and stuff and the ones the cops use top out at about 120 or so and the helocopters are even slower. it costs big bucks for a helocopter that can do 140+ mph and even for a plane that can do that.

i lost a va state trooper once.....was going about 80, saw him tag me from the median, so i dropped down 2 gears and nailed, was around a big bend saw a turn and took it......needless to say no ticket! But that was stupid, reckless, and irresponsible, and I don't see myself doing it again.

Thumbs up

One time I was gunned on a straight stretch of highway going east bound. The officer who caught me was going west bound.

I went over a hill and dissappeared from his view as he made the u-turn. I took the oppurtunity to take the first side road on my right while he couldn't see me.

After about 1/4 mile I came up to a gate and behind the gate there was a house. Of course it was someone's private (paved) driveway. I had no where to go, so after a few minutes I proceeded back down the driveway towards the highway since I was trespassing and didn't want to be caught for that too.

The cop had been circling up and down the road and he saw me pull out and pulled me over. He let me off without a ticket though
