Anyone else notice this...?
Ah, good points, good points. There are indeed a lot of variables that into the price of a car.
When you trade-in to a dealer, they don't give a CRAP to what mods you have, they go straight by the book and give you what the car itself is worth.
As for private seller, this gets touchy because if your mod on the car fits the buyer's needs, then the seller could expect a price higher than the market clearing price, but not the whole prices of the mod since the buyer doesn't know where its been or what condition it is in and etc etc reasons. Thus, by selling a car w/ mods usually a very difficult task due to the target audience size. But if the mods don't fit the buyer's needs and the seller is desparate, then your mods would nearly be worthless. Thus it is better to sell the mods separately than to sell as a whole (easy to say if it were rims. turbos would be a harder thhing to do just like internals).

n8, exactly, the dealer isn't going to give you the time of day if you tell them you want 50k for a 26k nada priced car.
Good points about the NISMO parts...as long as they are S-Tune, R-Tune are not covered under warranty.
Usually, non-related-oem-manufacturer parts depreciate the value of your car (performance modifications...even some body modifications), period.
