Angry Well, who wants my preorder

Well, it looks like i will not be able to get my new 350Z. The girlfriend said she wanted something more practical (i knew what was coming next) and that she wanted a new house. So guess what I can't get now.....MY Z!!!!! (tear).

Anyway, we did end up getting a new Audi A4. Nice car, all the bells and whisles, but

a) not a sports car
b) has 4 doors (this scares me a bit, it's our first sedan)
c) IT'S NOT A Z!!!!

Anyone want my pre-order spot? I am not even sure I can get rid of it. I am gonna try to get my deposit back, but even that look unlikely....

Oh well, maybe in another year or two....

If they won't give you your deposit back, just buy the Z and sell it yourself. Heck you'll probably make a few thousand on the deal.

Ouch, I feel for you......but not the Z.

The A4 should be good though with the road you're looking to travel with a house and all. When I started to read it, I was thinking "Man, this must be one hell of a girlfriend!"

Good luck.

Any chance of selling off your charter membership?

damn...next comes the marriage

Why don't you have her buy a large portion of the house, and you keep the Z? Compramise with her!

You just can't give up that quickly! It's Z MAN

Please, marriage is probably not happening for a little while yet (we've only been dating 7 1/2 years). And neither one of wants kids so I don't know what she is thinking. All I know is that she came home with the A4 yesterday and I new that the Z was out of the question for now.

Wow, I'm really lucky. I just got engaged and purchased a home that will be finished some time next year. When deciding on a car, my fiancee was all for the 350Z. Her reason was that we are young (I'm 24) and that this will most likely be the last car I will have before I will really need a sedan. And then I will have to wait until I can afford both a sedan and a summer car. Some days I think she is more excited about me getting the car then me. Actually it was between a 225 TT and the Z and she is all for the Z even though the TT is a bit more practical (rear seats and AWD).

Hold on for a second.

Ok, i know i don't have any knowledge of whats going on between you, but she comes home with the A4 and now you can't have your Z?

Did she give you prior knowledge to buying the A4? Was it her money?

I think our friend here as a very unfortunate medical condition which I believe the term for is whippedostomy? whippedtology; whippedocosas? or something like that.

Addadictomy. Luckily, it is not contagious.

She came home with an A4? Did you know about it or did she get you off guard? If so, you're in it for a LONNNNNNNNNNNNNNG haul once you guys are married.

And I thought you leave your "huevos" at the altar.

Sorry, but I suggest you have a sit-down and reconsider abandoning the Z. You wait all this time only to get shot down at the last minute.

7 1/2 YEARS!!!!!!!! Get the Z!! You will never marry her. I'd expect a little more communication than that in a 7 year relationship. Look far down the road my friend.

Default WRX or bust

Draw a line in the sand dude. An A4 is closer to an accord than it is to a Z. Now the WRX on the other hand while not a Z is close. Also a lot cheaper than the A4, mod-able, reliable, and fun to drive.

Let me guess your girl picked up an automatic A4. Any way I think you two have issues. I'd say "look the A4 is your car and the Z will be my car. Deal with it."

Wow, you are taking a lot of grief here. But then again, you did post the details which would indicate you are actually pissed about the situ and are looking for some justification in your anger.

Here you go. First, even if you were married, neither party just goes out and makes a major purchase without consulting the other. Second, a significant other shouldn't trash your dreams. This was something you had been planning for. Third, you need to get some 'stones' and stand up for yourself. If she treats you without respect now, it will only get worse.

Best of luck to you. Sounds like you will need it.

Trade in the A4 for a g35 manual when they start making manuals at the end of the year or so, if you must keep the non-communicative gf.

Really though, I think you should just 'show up' in your Z when it comes in.

Women can be pure evil. But hey what can you do?

7 years heh. .....Hmmmm, maybe she's hinting around to the 'M' word.

Obviously neither one of you told the other of your intensions...but who actually put in their order first.
