Lojack revisited
I have another question about Lojack...
Forget all the cool stuff about the product and what it does, I am curious about the actual product and where/how it is installed.
I have been reading that Lojack is a product about the size of a deck of cards. It is installed in one of about 30 locations in your car. It needs power from your car to operate.
My question is...
How do I know the Lojack installer isn't going to hurt my car during install?
Is Lojack installed inside the cab, or in the engine compartment, or in the frame, etc? I would hate to think the Lojack installer is pulling panels off my Z, scratching them up, ever so slightly.
I am told neither the dealership nor I would get to know where the product is, for security sake. Okay, but how do I know they didn't trash my Z during the install? I mean, there is no way to verify workmanship.
This may sound like silly questions, but I am being very serious. I would really like to go with Lojack, but I am scared of the install. I have had installers in the past put screwdriver marks in the plastic, or not splice into wires properly, leaving an amateur job.
Again, I would like to entertain Lojack, but I am just curious if anyone else has had this done TO THEIR 350Z, and not notice any problems.
Thank you all in advance,
Todd

If anyone knows generally where the Lojack is installed, please tell.
I do not care about exact locations of the product, as I understand the security aspect of it. I am just curious if this is an internal install or external install. Is this in the frame, or what?
Am I going to see this "deck of cards" sized bump in the door panel and wonder "hmmm, what could that be?"
Thanks,
Todd
