although i am a girl, i must admit that most women can't drive... let alone in an suv... ur story got me really heated.. hope everything worked out for you... i hope she gets her license (preferably her car) taken away...

Isnt there another law against cell phone/ distracted driving there??
thats 2 tickets she shud have recieved.....
i think males have greater ability to drive and cell at the same time we have better ability to divide attention and generally like cars where as females focus sooo much on the phone vs. passive driving secluded by the comfort of there HUGE *** Suburban Assult Vehicles
Mad TV had this Great totally acurate skit on a lady who was driving a HUUUGE suv.
while talking on her cell and drinking a latte' ran over anothe woman and drug her for miles and didnt know it ... OMG it was SOOOO funny i cracked up big
females+ Suvs+ lattes' = disaster!! as demonstrated by this post

Sorry to hear about that.
In GA, leaving the scene of an accident is a 4 year jail sentence.
Same thing happened to me in an MGB I restored from the frame up. I had a high speed pursuit to catch the guy. I got out of the car and ready to jerk him through the window and he went up on a curb to get away (probably good he got away). I got his tag and called the cops when I got home (about 2 miles away). The 911 operator said I crossed so many jurisdictions, I needed to come into the police station to file a report. I started cussing and screaming at her and she said she couldn't help me if I talked like that. I told her to put a man on the phone then. Someone else took the call and I told them I paid my taxes for police service and fully expected to have a cop at my door pronto. They sent some guy out and I gave him the report. I told them the guy that hit me was probably drunk. They tracked the tag and went to get the guy. Some 19 year old who borrowed mommys car. He was legally drunk too. He was arrested and mommy had to bail him out. The lady had the nerve to call me and try to pay me off to drop the charges. She said "Do you know what happens to 19 year old boys in jail". LOL, I'll never forget that. I said, yes, and it sounds like that is exactly what he needs!
