WHY me??? SO im on my way to meet up wit my gf.. At a complete stop sitting at a light i look into my mirror and find a brand new SUV coming up fast behind me.... and BAM!!! right into my back bumper......i even gave her more space to brake by scooting up....... so i make my turn park on the sidewalk she follows.... quickly grab my pen and paper and soon discovered the B**** had paper plates that made no progress... i immediately got out of my car walked towards her vehicle... i politely ask for her license.... she says " sure" and THEN SHE GUNS IT almost running me over... almost hitting 1 more car...... im in SHOCK i thought about chasing her but the traffic was to heavy.. i checked the damage which wasnt as bad as i thought called the cops reported it and called it a night... i go home a sad sad man . i call my gf she comes over and cheers me up if you know what i mean ?? but still im a sad sad MAN


Whats funny is my dad asked me if i wanted to get a BODY kit for my Z lol. Anybody hav any suggestions im still a newbie

I almost know exactly how you feel my friend. I just got my Z 5 days ago, and some idiot backed into me. It was a total shocker. I could not believe what just happend. Now he's denying that he backed into me and saying I ran into him. To make a long story short its coming out of my Policy. So don't feel too bad, yer not alone. What a bummer ay. But **** happens. My suggestion for body kits...i really wouldn't get one unless it was polyurethane(if I spelled that correctly). I had a body kit on my first car, it dramatically changes the look but fiber glass is very fragile. I plan on just gettin lip kits. Good luck.

 

people who hit and run should be banned from society!!! i just don't understand how someone could be so inconsiderate... a while back ago,my brother was in a parking lot, waiting for some ***** to back out of her space... when she was getting a little close, he honked, but she just kept on going.... now i have a mod that makes my Z a bit more unique than others - custom aligned hood and fender "flare"... <-- long story short.... z still not fixed....

Happened to me with the family car. Guy gets out and starts apologizing and walking towards me with a handfull of 20's. I refuse and ask for his license. He starts backing up apologizing, gets in his car and zooms off! Since I had a pen and paper in hand it was easy to get his license so I filed a police report. Now the sticky part. My insurance wanted to charge me collison and have me pay the deductible since there was no proof of the hit and run. Luckily the police found the dude and verified he had no insurance so all was covered.

 

that happen to me at work and the person would not come to me and tell me. But I know he or she will or have told someone and they will get mad at each other one day and then I will know who did it. you know when people get mad at each other they will tell on the other one. ..

a hit and run happened to me in my previous car - the guy hit me from behind at a light, as soon as he hit me he had that pos in reverse and gunned it - chased him and caught up (i was in a 5th gen prelude, him in a 9?' neon - it was 8 cylinders of fury! ) ... anyways i was lucky enough to have a cop turn on the street the same direction we were going and i got his attention by flashing my lights and honking - screamed over to him that the neon hit me and he pulled him over... saw him in court - he got off easy - but all my damage was covered...


... i feel your pain on the hit and run... these people should never be allowed to drive again. bastages.

Back in 1987 when my dad died, I inherited his 1984 300ZX 50th anniversary model. Within ONE MONTH of having it, it got totalled by a hit-and-run jerk who ran a red light. Around here (Albuquerque) drunks and hit/runners are standard fare. Sure sorry for you...
