Why are they illegal? Too bright?
A friend of mine once had headlights that were as bright as you could legally have. He got flashed all the time by people thinking he has his brights on. Then he'd flash them and it looked like daylight for second there.

no they are illegal because you are replacing the amber signal bulb with a hyperwhite bulb..........i too would say that because of the price they may not last long or eventually burn the blue coloring off the bulb changing the color of the light output...just my .02c.....they do look nice though!
