When I first got my car back in March of this year, I was getting shocked every single time I got out of the car for like three weeks. After that, the shocking just seemed to disappear. Maybe it had to do with the weather or something. I'm just glad I don't get shocked anymore.

It has to do with the weather and static electricity. Just make sure you touch the door/roof while getting out of the car and you will be fine.

Try Window's edge instead of door handle. or while you getting out of the car...brush the side skirt with left calf (will reduce the static but not all)... if you have to open the trunk,,then it's do or die. I'm all paranoid about touching metal with my barehand after I get out of the car... LOL.

The shocks I get in this car are NOTHING compared to the one the Xterra unleashes. Those fockers could numb an arm for hours and the brightness of the static H-bombs could blind you for life.

Ok, not really but they friggin' hurt like hell. I always looked like a tard closing my doors with my feet, and since my truck had a 6 inch lift and 33" tires, it was quite embarrassing when I missed. Looked like I was trying to karate kick a ghost. I hated that.

Ugh, I forgot about that. To this day I still slap at door handles when going into stores hoping to make the shock quick and painless. I just look like a spaztic retard everywhere now that I think about it.

just run your keys along the side of your car as you get out. You'll scratch the paint but you won't get shocked

...... spray 'static guard' on the seat(s), not the exterior of the car. it prevents the charge when your pants rub against the fabric. works for a month before i have to respray. good luck.

btw, i thought closing the door with my butt will prevent a shock... i was soo wrong... it's so wrong, i felt violated...

Yeah, this is the only car I have owned that shocks you even when its fairly humid.

Must be all the power its waiting to discharge.

I also have an Armada, and it hardly ever shocks me.
