Post Looking to purschase 03' 350Z

Just a few quick questions:

How do you guys like you Zs. Right now im graduating from college in a a week and a half, an dgot offerd a gret position at a finance firm. so I'm slurging for a nice car now while i can :-) and im seaching like crazy for new car. I found a few Zs in my area, (Connecticut). I'm going to post a link to the car< do u guys think is a good deal or no.

heres the link 350 Z

Some other questions, How much on average are you paying for insurace, I plan on getting screwed anyway by the comany since in young, 21, but i have a clean record. Althoght as a side note i got a quote for a 04' RX-8 Grand Touring, for 2600 for the year.

I havent drivin one yet, so what are the small annoyances that you have noticed, if any.

Does not having a sun/moonroof bother you much, (I love the Z but that bugs the hell out of me)

How about snow, good, bad or hell no, (But I may keep my Saturn as a beater)

Hows gas miileage?

Thanks so much for ur help

mmm... I'd save money on a pretty sizeable chunk down (10k) and put it down on an 06 350z. Too much risk in used 03 & 04 models with all the problems they've had with tire feathering, and tranny issues. If you're gonna get ganked on insurance no need to go in with 0 down, full finance and pay $598 just for the car itself and another $200-300 a month with insurance.

I love my car, I have an 03 touring. No Problems, at all. No regrets other than I miss the backseat from time to time.

yep, im with Action on this one. I know you dont want to hear that and your so happy your out of school and gonna have a good job, but the smartest thing you can do right now, is instead of having a 500+ car payment and 150-200+ insurance payments every month put about 600 away every month for 12 month and put that 7000$ down on an 05 left over Z or new 06. I have an 03 and love it and havent had any major issues except I live with feathering, but if I could do it all over, I wish my Z was an 05 model. BEN

Remember that the earlier models ('03 & earlier '04) are easier to mod.

The earlier ECU's 03-earlier 04, have been cracked and mapped. They can be re-flashed for various set-ups like forced induction or Crawford mods. Otherwise you can get piggy-back systems that cost $$.

Spend a few more pennies and save yourself the pain and potential problems of the '03 production Zs. Thus, get a '04 or later. The '06s are gonna be out in 3 months.
