Default My Complaining List..

Yeah.. it is a LIST... sigh..
I saw somebody complaining to who complains... but..
You gotta know Somebody's feeling in that position.
Anyways..

My 350 has 1200 miles on it, just finished Break-in. I have noticed following problems.

Greasy/Squeaky Windows - I tinted my car windows and there are
two big scrachs on tinting film. both front windows. I tried to remove it with every kind of liquid but never works. I can't replace the tinting films before I find what causes the promblem.

Too hard to shift - Damm.. First time, I thought it's 350's nature but after driving my friends 350... MY 350 HAS PROBLEM. NEED DAMM FORCE TO SHIFT.

Squeaky Noise from somewhere - I think I give this up ... No CLUE....

Water Damping Windows - Wash my Car. 2 Days later, I still find water trapped in both of doors...

Car pulled to the right - I have driven more than 5 Japanese car, 350 wins the first car pulling to the right

Do you think I got an ORANGE CAR?

Start working with dealership to get Nissan to fix the problems that ARE problems. Squeeks, Tranny, and Driving characteristics that aren't normal should be fixed.

Squeeks - Have the dealership check, maybe they'll find a loose screw somewhere. Honda wasn't ever good at this, but Infiniti has done a superb job with their G35 customers

Tranny - If the dealership has some other Z's on the floor try shifting with them to guage the feel, and that way you have a way to show them that yours is very tough to shift(if they don't believe you). Didn't someone one the board already get thier tranny replaced?

Driving Characteristics - 50/50 on this one... if they can't fix it via an alignment then they better fix it somehow. There's no excuse for that... never heard of sports cars all pulling to the right. =) Maybe force them to get you new tires.

Thanx for advice.

About tranny problem, it is okay when RPM is at idle but once car is rolling, it seems that 350 never have such an 2nd gear.. -_-

I have a squeak in my car, I think its just a dry bushing in the suspension. A silicon lube should work fine. Some cars have had trans problems, describe your problem in detail. Your window motor was overloaded with grease at assembly, they can fix it by replacing the motor or cleaning the extra grease off. Wash your car just before you take it in for problem solving. Alignment problems or underinflated tires. Make sure your tires are all the same psi, the tires have to be checked often or you can get premature wear.

I suggest you type your list and give it to your dealer service writer and keep a copy. Ask what has been done on each problem if it is not clear on your service ticket. Make sure all of your problems are recorded by your service writer. If anything is left off, insist, politely but firmly, that it be listed on your service receipt. Good luck. Remember, be POLITE.

Toronto. where are you going to go to take your car in to have the tranny looked at? My father takes his QX4 to Agincourt Nissan/Infiniti 1871 McCowan Rd. and says they are really good (He has been to others that he did not like). I'm still deciding where to take mine. I have trouble getting into second sometimes and ocassionally hear a crunch going into second with the clutch all the way to the floor.

I have 1200 miles on my car and have none of the complaints described by the thread poster. Well yes, water on the windows after washing but that has occurred on most of my cars and not for two days later.

This is just to let folks know that for every one complaint there are a multitude of Z owners without any legitimate complaints. This forum is a great venting place but also gives skewed or false impressions of the number and severity of problems associated with the 350Z.

I totally agree with you here. =) It's important to note that not ALL cars have these problems. He still needs 'em worked on.

Thank for all advices. I wll certainly work on the problems.
The problems I listed are for my 350z but not all of 350z out there I gurantee. I got one very bad sample from bunch I believe.

Anyways. my tranny issue is exactly same as what bobbyz has explained. I wll take my car to the dealership where i first bought my 350z. It's Scarboro Nissan and thery have some great dealer/mechanics. I once went to Agincourt Nissan/Infinity dealer with my friend who has G35 sedan and we had a unpleasant situation with those guys so.. I guess I'll pass agincourt... even though they are loacated just one block away from my apartment. Hey, bobbyz~ where do you live and what color u drive? isn't it silver?

Hey,
Silverstone on Burnt Orange for me. I'm in the Don Mills and Steels area. Let me know when you are going to the dealer. I'm going to wait for a bit and see if it sorts itself out (even though I know it wont). But for sure I would like to know what your dealer has to say about this. Tell them if they find a fix for it, they will get two for one as I will be in there right after you. I'm not too worried since the car is under warrenty. My last car was a 1994 Porsche 968...talk about shitting bricks everytime you heard a funny noise. You could just hear the money burning in your pocket.

Maybe its time for a meet so we can all see how each others Z's shift.
Only problem is that sometimes mine is like silk, but others it is very tough. Its usually good after I run it hard for a bit.
I just know that when I take it in that it will be shifting perfectly.

Yeah~ Good Idea.

I went to the dealership(Scarborogh Eglington) and address my problems. They told me to leave my car on Monday and it's gonna take whole day since there are too many things to fix.
Hoply, they will find out what causes the tranny problem and ****. But I don't expect too much though...
I'll let you know. I think we need Canada area forum so that we can share more information easily. Like Bose stereo problem... I talked to the guy at dealership and they had no idea about the stereo.. sigh..

Anyways. still there are many problems, I love my car alot.
