I was wonder at what RPM are people launching there car to get a good launch. Raced a New Mustang, off the launch he was just launching a lot betta then me. Was pullin on me pretty good. Raced from a 50 mph roll after, and my Z was just pullin on him pretty good. So, I just wanted people opinion for a good launch...............................Want to run him again.

Best way is to head to the drag strip so you can get slips of your 60's. If your hitting around 2.0 to 2.1 60's you pretty much understand launching your Z.
I would say start around ~ 2,000 RPMS for your launches, I have gotten 2.1 60's going with a low RPM launch. When you start, you should be slipping the the cluth in while pushing in the gas porportionally (if you slip too fast you will wheelspin and it will kill your 60's). Usually on the drag strip I set my rear pressure to 30 PSI and give a small spin of the wheels before I line up.
People have done 2500 to 3500 RPM launches, but it depends on how well the track is preped also. Start with 2,000 RPMS, go higher gradually till you can find a consistent point your most confortable with.
