i just think of the shock as my cars love for me so when i go to pump gas i don't get lit up haha, any of you ever seen the video of someone pumping gas and all of the sudden they burst into flames because of a spark, z's are protective of their owners

I use a metal key to lightly touch the car door after I get out and am not in contact with the car anymore. You feel the charge exiting, but you don't get the sting.

The best thing to do is to touch the door frame, or kick plate, as you are getting out. You stay grounded, then when you shut the door there is no discharge.

Sit in your car and drive it more. It's exactly what all the members are saying: that's your car getting mad at you for leaving the driver's seat!
Oh yeah mine used to shock me too, but then after going around enough corners with minimal braking if any at all, she sort of settled down.
