Default Bose really Blows!

I had the TSB on the Bose awhile back. Now when playing the CD the left side speaker sounds distorted compared to the rt one. But the radio station sounds fine. The dealer just ordered the radio. I know I play the cd often but I wasnt expecting it to go so soon. I currently have 26k miles.

I think its the 6cd changer that causes problems.

funny you say that, because most audiophiles complain about bose having no mid-range.

sorry to jack the thread.

A lot of audiophiles complain about frequencies the human ear can't perceive too.

My 6-CD Bose system really sucks too. What a piece of crap. It skips out of the blue for no apparent reason. You can be on a perfectly flat surfice with a brand new CD with no scratches and it'll start skipping. I hate it with a passion.

Yea, I'm in the process of changing out my entire Bose system with all JL Audio high-end components, coaxials, amps and a single subwoofer in a custom box under the strut tower.

I looked at all the Bose speakers from the factory and they are garbage. The 8" "subwoofer" has a paper cone and a magnet the size of a shot glass and ran by an amp that looks like a cell phone. There is absolutely no kick. I thought the other speakers sounded ok, but my installer is telling me that my new system will sound waaaaay better. Crossing my fingers, hehe.

Hmmmm Maybe I got lucky because my 05 touring Bose system sounds great. Even my friends that are totally into car audio have gotten in my car and said how great it sounds for a stock system.

i thought it was my lambo door harness extension that screwed up my left speaker before I had my clarion H.U. ... apperantly not! does anyone else have / had the problem of the 6CD taking FOREVER to start playing cds with skipping every 2 seconds?

Weird thing happened today when removing all the 6cds from the receiver. I put in one cd and it plays normal. The dealer just got the radio today and getting it replaced tomorrow anyway. Maybe its the new updated Bose receiver.

Found out after many dealer trips....the problem is the 6CD in the bose H/U has a grounding issue when sending out signals to the amp on the left front...some wire piece was too short....before i get my new H/U in i will open this up and see if it is an easy fix for us!!!

I just had my Bose head unit replaced last week because of CD skipping. Seems to be fine now. As far as the sound quality, it's not bad but for the price it should sound better.

If it makes you feel any better, a friend of mine just bought a brand new Benz and his 6-disc changer sometimes takes up to 6 minutes to start playing a disc. Considering what he paid, I think he has more to complain about.
