So far only mod I really regret were the wheel spacers I had. Reason being because I ended up buying aftermarket wheels a LOT sooner than I thought I would and the spacers were only on my car for about 4 months.

Was a waste of money.

All together I have wasted/lost/ flushed down the toilet about 800 bucks on doing things, later changing, buying the wrong thing or what not putting things back or a different way. or buying a cheap/cheesy something, not being happy with the cheap item, then spending more and buying what I should have bought in the first place.

Or doing something like dressing up the engine and only planning to spend about $350 total and now my Pi Thon clamp set is on the way and it will be up to a Grand in the NA engine bay

Opps .

But it's all good i guess

Default Twin Turbo

Not because of the TT, I love the TT power. What I regret is the automatic trany. NO BODY HAS A REAL SOLUTION on the 5AT. If you have a 5AT PLEASE stay (NA) until somebody come at least with better clutch packs.

i've read the whole thread and no one has said how terrible the exhaust is. this could be for 2 reasons. 1. nobody is using it or 2 it's an ok product. i'll assume it's 1.

My mechanic tells me is an exact copy of more expensive products using genuine stainless steel and it sells a lot cheaper. He says the product is pretty good.

There was no Grand Touring in '04, just a Touring... no Brembos on it. You had to get a Track to get Brembos in '04.

I now regret getting the

Cusco-strut brace= engine bay heats up and causes hazing in the chrome shiny finish
Cusco Cooling plate= since i sold the bar, now im gonna get rid of the plate, its a great plate but I am so **** when people touch it or set anything on it because of the finish.(i dont want it scratched)

Regretted mistakes..
CF Battery/Brake cover= They wouldnt stick so I thought hey why not try to heat them up in the microwave= small fire......lol.... Burnt CF doesnt look good..

Pulled out the spare to save weight and now the damn sub box wont seal right because there is nothing supporting it underneath... And the box sags under the rear strut bar about an inch.... annoying

I regret not getting HFC's sooner, now i have to install the damn UR HFC's and get it re-tuned......

Does anyone have any regrets going with any of the MD spacer kits? I'm thinking about making it my next mod.

Thanks

Default Wow...just...

wow....I pretty much just read this entire thing. This has got to be the most interesting thread I have come across. Not simply for the uniqueness of each post, but I feel as if you can actually identify with both the joys, and sorrows, of the members here...

As for myself, I don't have any regrets at the moment. 2006 350z bought brand new 08/2005 (arrived 11/2005). When it first arrived, it went straight into the garage re: CANADIAN WINTER LOL.

I didn't really take the car out until April '06 and at this point, everything was still completely new to me. I wasn't even thinking about modding. Not because I didn't want to but because I was still so mesmerized by my Z.

I started modding in the late summer of 2006. So far, vanity plate, NISMO seatbelt pads,T-rex billet grille, rear deck lip spoiler, NISMO CAI, 30% tint out, NISMO exhaust, three piece classic carbon fiber engine bay dress up, classic carbon fiber radiator guide, silver carbon fiber exterior a and b pillars, NISMO rear window decals Z key chain, LED white sidemarkers (sick), 60GB black video iPod mount w/ iMonster cable (really clear)...

Aside from this...my Suzuka body kit just arrived and I am in the process of install. After that...the MD iso spacer and shorty antenna are coming in...

I have no real regrets to be honest. I have done so much more then I thought I would before I bought my baby. It is my daily driver but my girl on the weekends to go and show...this is such an amazing hobby. I am well on my way...and am grateful for this site.

i regret all the money i've spent on n/a mods..... i would have enough money to boost now if i didnt!....the pioneer navigation is sweet, but i doubt its better than boost

i also regret lowering my car before i knew what i was getting my self into, eibach sportlines $250, spc camber arms $180, 2 alignments $140, still have bad camber in the front......thats $570 for a drop on just springs! should have saved up for some teins that come with pillow mounts or not gone with such a big drop
