Default G35 seats/cd player in a 350Z?

Will a in dash deck (cd changer/radio) from a G35 fit into a 350Z? Reason im asking is because my Z didnt come with the factory Bose deck... It came with an aftermarket one which I find kinda fugly.

Today I came across a G35 that was a write off... the leather seats and deck were fine...

will these fit?

It'll work if you get the trim around it but the radio alone won't work. You need to get the system with the Bose amp and speakers. Not worth the trouble even for free IMO. Bose sounds like $hit. Get aftermarket stuff. $2K will get you a very nice setup...maybe not show quality, but as nice as you need for daily driving. The seats I have no idea. doubt it though. Plus if you don't have electric seats in your car then it wouldn't do any good to put the G35 seats in there. Just way too much work.....are you bored or something.

I heard the G35 climat control is connected to the sound system, so I don't think it will work. Don't take my word for it because I'm not 100% sure.

It's not connected. They just share the face plate. Which means, you would have to custom make the trim piece to have the climate control closed off. Anything can be done if you want to put the time, money, effort into it. Like I said before, not worth it even if parts are free.

it's more than just the face plate. The circuitry is somehow tied together. G35 owners upgrading to an aftermarket stereo have to get some sort of additional wiring/circuit so that the climate controls still work. I'm not sure of all the details. I've only had my G a couple months and haven't looked into doing that yet.

I imagine I could be wrong but none of the people that I know with a G said anything. Maybe the shops they went to just took care of it and never said anything. They told me about some special wiring so that the steering wheel controls still work but never made a mention of the climate control.

The deck would probably not be possible without tons of custom work. What happens is the climate control is part of the back panel of the deck. When you add after market decks for the G35, you have to spend about 400 in parts to get everything separated and with the double din (I used to have a G35c and was on the forums a lot).

But I'm interested to know if the seats will fit. I LOVE the G35c seats. I can't believe my Z cost more than the G35coupe I had, but the seats are NON-power and CLOTH! Outrageous how Nissan cheaped out on the Z.

I did a little more research on this. The A/C controller and Bose radio are on the same circuit board. If you remove the Bose headunit, you'll need to replace the A/C controller in the G35. This was the case with the 03-04 head unit and still applies with the new 05 one. I don't know what effect if any this would have on trying to put the G35 radio in a Z. For more details on how it works in the G see the 2 links below.
