It means running sports cars in the States is way more affordable and we in the UK are very jealous at your low prices

To give you a feel for our pain, a gallon costs around $6.25 for premium. (That's £0.97 per litre @ 98 octane)

And, something like 70% or $4.37 is tax...

So, don't let your politicians put up your gas prices to the extortionate prices we have to pay.... it can happen !

I think hawaii still has the highest cost per gallon average and I don't see it going down anytime soon...at least we live on an island right? its not like you can drive all that far
Where do you find 93 oct. in HI? Besides that one place that offers 100 oct., all the other places I know of only sells 91-92 at the highest. Please tell me where...I need to know...thanks!

All I can say is that the OPEC is benefiting from this and they know that we are such demand. Have you guys notice that there are less SUVs the giants like Tahoes, Suburbans, Escalades, Hummers and others are not running as much as before. If these prices will keep increasing we will see alot people trading in their big luxury vehicles for hybrid.

Once supreme hits $3/gal where I get gas (Chevron@Irvine 2.76 currently), I am buying a bike. I remember the days my F4i and gsx were getting 40+ mpg. Bike will be my daily and Z will be for Fri, Sat and Sun. $50 fillups are starting to hurt.

I dont know if anyone will notice the diff. between 93 and 92 octane. Its just seems to have the placebo effect.

The price of gasoline in Hawaii is not very different from that of So. Cal...The only difference here is that we can only drive so far...until we hit water. Your only concern would be how far your residence is from your work. I live 5 minutes from work, so I can go a month on a tank of gas.

Yeah, I'm hoping to find a job somewhere close to wherever we end up living. Right now I only commute 2.5 miles each way, so a tank lasts me a while too.

If you guys are looking for the cheapest prices around go here and download the Gas widget. Its free and shows you the lowest gas prices in your Zip Code, what Gas Station it is, and even maps it out for you...if you want! Oh yeah, if you don't know what a widget is, that site will explain it all to you.
