Default Is it BS, or is EVERYONE going FI???

Seems like the almost every thread ends with:

Till I go FI in 2 weeks.

TT's on order.

Ordering TT's in two weeks.

Either almost Z is going to be turboed or sc'd, or alot of people are full of sh*t.

I tend to think the latter.

I think: Put it in your sig once its installed, but whatever.

-APS TT on order

everyone has plans for their cars on the net... what fun would it be if everyone was saying the Z was all they could handle and they couldn't use anymore speed...

I don't see what the big deal is...If someone goes FI, awesome! And if they are BS, who cares??? It's not like they are comitting a crime or hurting anybody. If someone needs to lie to make themselves feel better well, its gonna happen and nothings gonna change that.

heh...

another stupid question, but...
what amount of money should i be lookin forward to, to install FI? well... i know how much the SC/Turbo costs, how much money do i need to spend on an engine in order for it not to blow on me in a coupla days of turbo-driving? Also, if its my daily driver (about 50 miles a day, and 800 miles round trip to my home town once in a few months) is the engine gonna handle the turbo? Ive seen so many posts about ppl blowing their engines all the time after getting FId, it made me think a Zs engine doesnt really like to be FId. Im planning on keeping this car, I dont think Ill ever sell it, untill it completely dies on me...

Going FI is an expensive club... I don't know exact numbers but you're looking at 5-8k for the kit, 2-3k for the install... may as well throw a few grand into drivetrain upgrades, then set some money aside just in case you need to get your engine rebuilt.

Yea, IMO, if you want to FI the 350Z, just spend the extra on a Corvette C6 instead. 400hp NA.

Yeah, if I was rich I would go FI. Instead I'm gonna pay this off and do some minor NA mods and keep this as my nice cruising car. Then buy an S15 or hopefully an R33 and then I'll really start modding, . (Of course we're talking years down the road).
