Default Does 03 touring have L.S.D. ?

So I'm looking at a orange 2003 Touring edition coupe with only 4,500 miles on it. perfect condition. garaged for two years. problem is, I know nothing about Nissan's, much less the 350. Can you guys tell me what features the car has. I know it had H.I.D's, 18's, leather, and a 6 speed, but does it have a limited-slip? Anything else I should know before I buy the car? How is the stock suspension?

Thanks for the help.

Also has power, heated seats. Yes, it has LSD.

Everyone will tell you there were some issues with the 03 builds. Tire feathering and such..

Is there a fix for this "tire feathering" problem? What is it?

feathering is what causes you to have to replace your tires every 5000 miles. just make sure you love the Z enough to spend thousands on repair costs.

every 5ooo miles? come on now, isn't that a little bit extreme. Is this only a problem with the 03's?

Feathering at its worst can be tires-every-5000-miles. But that is extreme case. I got 24,000 miles out of OEM 03 tires. But, yes, it is likely you will have some degree of feathering. Do a search for "feathering....there 1 gazillion threads on it.

have the car checked out by a good mechanic.

03 with 4500 miles sounds good. How much.

Go to Nissan site to see what comes on Touring model.

Comming on here after you do some homework on your own will get you more acceptance than asking us to educate you 100%.

1.) sorry, I should have stated, they're asking $25,000.

2.) So nothing changed between the 03's and 06's on every trim level?

3.) I know this, but at least I can't think of anything else I would need to know. Now at least I know the #1 problem with 03's. I think I can buy it now with a peace of mind.

Thanks again for your response.

Holy Moly....I can't even begin to understand a person that buys a car @ 25K and doesn't know a thing about it....please do some research on this car before you commit to buying it!?!? I don't want to see you back here in two months asking how to get into reverse, or why does my car sound like a dump truck when I'm coming to a stop from 30 mph, or below!?!?!

$25,000 for an 03 is IMHO too much. even if it only has 4500 miles. You can get some killer deals on 05's now since the 06 is being released soon. I got a note in the mail from my Nissan dealer that 05's are now discounted below invoice - without even negotiating with them!!

Minor differences between the 03, 04, 05 and the new 06. Just search for the 06 thread. hope this helps.

Or why does 3rd gear grind.

And the '06's have some cool changes. Like some awesome new Rays super light forged racing wheels for the Track model and Touring 6 speed, among other things.

The '06'S might be cool but they will not be offered in "Ultra Yellow", and I think that is the nicest color made. To bad.

I think $25 Gs for an 03 Touring in tip-top condition & garaged & with 4500 miles is a decent deal.

There are a few changes between 03 & 06 Touring but relatively minor.

Just an FYI if you purchase this car. Nissan extended the warranty to cover the tire feathering issue until 10/31/05 (see attached pdf). If the car does have the issue, they should fix your alignment and give you a fresh pair of front tires. I just had my '03 fixed two weeks ago and it made a huge difference in ride quality and road noise.
