06's delivered to Performance NISSAN... Initial Findings...
They are all heavier by about 140-150lbs i guess. Nissan just updated their website and have those new 06 weights on there. Sucks, but i think the increased weight is due to structural changes for 06 safety regulations. 05 Track for instance is 3225lb compared to 3370 now!
I want those heater *****. Would the whole heater control assembly be needed, or could just the ***** be fitted? BTW, thank you Jason for all the work you are doing to get the information out.

I like the new inprovements though which probably contribute to the wait gain.

Any word yet on the lights - if the '06 taillights can fit on '03-'05's? If so, any estimation as to how much it'll cost ? Thanks!

Huh. I Just did a search on FS6R31A, and i see it on previous models as well. That's odd. So they hardly did any 'real' changes to the '06 besides some interior work, rims, and maybe some little suspesion...

New crank, but very similar to the original 287HP motor...
Jason, big Q that I think only you will be able to answer: For some reason, the Nismo lip is no longer available with the Z. Do you think we can expect one to be released in a few months? I think that new dip at the bottom of the bumper is to blame for this.

The 3919 lb weight is the GVWR. that's Gross Vehicle Weight Rating - the maximum the vehicle + people/cargo can weigh. The actual weight of the empty car is correct on Nissan's website. A '06 Track is 3,370. So, the max cargo/people you can load into the car is 3919-3370 = 549 lbs. Basically two people and some luggage.
The second line on the tag is GAWR - Gross Axle Weight Rating. Each "axle" has it's own max weight limit it can handle. For things like trucks, the limiting factor is usually the weight the tires or springs can safely handle.
